Privacy Policy
Plain English on what we collect when you ask for a quote, what we do with it, and how to get it removed.
Who we are
CTP Carpentry ("CTP", "we", "us") is a carpentry business based in Glanmire, Co. Cork, Ireland. We are the data controller for the personal details you give us. Contact: jonathon@ctpcarpentry.ie or 085 712 6958.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote we collect only what we need to get back to you and price the job:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Where the job is (town or area, and the address once a site visit is arranged)
- What the job is, your rough timeframe and budget, and any photos or notes you send us
- How you got in touch (phone, WhatsApp, email, our website form, or a Facebook or Instagram lead form)
Our website does not use analytics cookies or advertising pixels. The only cookies set are those needed for the site to work.
Where it comes from
- Website form: handled by Formspree, which passes your message to our email.
- Facebook and Instagram lead forms: if you fill in a form on one of our Meta ads, Meta passes the details you entered to us. Meta's own handling of your data is covered by Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Phone, WhatsApp, email, Instagram or TikTok messages: whatever you send us directly.
What we use it for
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a site visit and send you a quote
- To carry out and invoice the work if you go ahead
- To send you a reminder or follow-up about your enquiry or quote
- With your permission, to send occasional updates or offers by SMS or email. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or using the unsubscribe link.
Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract (your quote), performing the contract (the job), and our legitimate interest in following up on enquiries. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your details. We use a small number of service providers to run the business, who process your data on our instructions:
- GoHighLevel (LeadConnector): our customer management system, used to store enquiries, book site visits and send follow-up messages
- Formspree: delivers website form submissions
- Meta Platforms: where you contacted us through a Facebook or Instagram lead form or message
- Google: email and, if you choose to leave one, Google reviews
- Vercel: hosts this website
Some of these providers are based outside the EU. Where that is the case they rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision to protect your data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not go ahead are kept for up to 12 months so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Records of completed work are kept for 6 years for tax and warranty purposes. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to show you the details we hold, correct them, delete them, restrict how we use them, or send them to you in a portable format. You can also object to marketing at any time. Email jonathon@ctpcarpentry.ie and we will deal with it within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Data Protection Commission.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
